1. Who we are

Stock Manager Pro is a Shopify app developed and maintained by Mandeep Singh ("we", "us", or "our"). If you have any questions about this policy, you can contact us at mandeepsingh0714@gmail.com.

2. Information we access from Shopify

When you install the App, Shopify provides us with access to certain data from your store via the Shopify API. We only request the scopes that are necessary for the App to function.

Store & account information

• Basic store details (store name, domain, email, time zone, currency).
• Shop owner contact information for billing and support.

Products & inventory

• Products, variants, SKUs, and collections.
• Inventory quantities per location.
• Inventory locations (e.g. warehouses, retail stores, POS locations).

Orders & draft orders

• Orders and draft orders required for purchase orders and analytics.
• Line items, quantities, SKUs, prices, and order status.

Customers

The App may access basic customer information that is attached to orders (for example, for order context in analytics views). We do not use this information for marketing or to build independent customer profiles.

3. How we use the information

We use the information described above to:

• Display and edit inventory quantities across your Shopify locations.
• Generate inventory summaries, activity views, and analytics for your store.
• Create and manage purchase orders or other inventory-related records.
• Provide app configuration, caching, and default settings.
• Respond to your support requests and troubleshoot issues.

We do not sell or rent your data, and we do not use it for advertising to you or your customers.

4. Data storage & third-party services

The App stores configuration and operational data in order to run reliably and performantly. This may include:

• App settings and preferences you configure inside the App.
• Cached product, inventory, or order data to speed up the interface.
• Internal identifiers needed to sync your store with our database.

Our infrastructure is hosted on reputable third-party providers such as Railway (application hosting) and managed PostgreSQL databases. These providers store data on secure servers and are contractually prohibited from using your data for their own purposes.

5. Data retention

We retain store data only for as long as it is necessary to provide the App’s functionality or to comply with legal obligations.

• While your subscription is active, configuration and cached data are retained to keep the App working correctly.
• When you uninstall the App, we typically delete or anonymize store-specific data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain certain records (for example, billing or audit logs).

6. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include:

• Using Shopify’s secure OAuth installation flow and API.
• Restricting access to production systems to authorized personnel.
• Using encrypted connections (HTTPS) for all communication.

No system can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, but we work to follow industry best practices and to respond quickly to any reported issues.

7. Your choices & rights

As a merchant, you can:

• Uninstall the App at any time from your Shopify admin.
• Contact us to request deletion of stored data related to your store, subject to legal and contractual requirements.
• Contact us with questions about how your data is used or to request a copy of data we store about your store.

If your customers contact you about their personal data, you may pass those requests to us where they relate to data processed by this App.

8. International transfers

Depending on where you and your customers are located, data may be stored or processed in countries other than your own. We rely on reputable cloud providers and aim to ensure that appropriate safeguards are in place for any such transfers.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in the App, our practices, or applicable laws. When we make material changes, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
